It says the sponsors know their audience? (I don’t even specifically mean rednecks, just us Americans in general)

Same thing a race sponsored by the creators of EPO says about pro cycling.

I know. But what I think it really says about our society is that we’d rather take a drug than change our lifestyle. One is certainly easier than the other.

I don’t know; I’m still pumped for the race. It’s gonna be a pretty sweet time.

To be fair, it’s not acutal diabeetus, but rather a pharma company that provides diabeetus drugs.
This is the same company that dropped sponsorship for a driver because a baseball announcer told a story of something his dad said 10+ yrs before he was born that included offensive vocabulary . Linky

Right, but it also speaks volumes about the epidemic of Type II diabeetus in America.

The best part is the for-profit “Christian” college sponsorship on the car in the photo, and the fact that Eli Lily actually wanted to advertise Cialis (penis pills!) most likely. Or maybe Prozac. Or Cymbalta. Or Methadone (yep.) Or Zyprexa - oh wait, they had to pay a $1.45B penalty including a $515M criminal fine for illegally pushing that one.
